The Division of Emergency Medicine at UCT was commissioned by the Professional Board for Emergency Care at the Health Professions Council of SA to develop support tools to assist in the point of care emergency management of patients prior to transfer to a health facility. 

The MIC assisted with these tools by source-checking all drugs and recommended doses.
