The commissioner of the FDA and the director of the Centre for Biologics evaluation and research at the FDA presented their views on the current state of vaccine acceptance in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) recently.

They highlight the need for the clinical and biomedical community to redouble its efforts to provide accurate plain-language information regarding the individual and collective benefits and risks of vaccination.
