Philip Joseph and colleagues have published their meta-analysis of studies which looked at fixed-dose combinations of antihypertensives plus statins with or without aspirin for primary prevention of a composite of cardiovascular events.

Significant reductions in the primary outcome and its components were noted; these reductions were greater when aspirin was included.
