Further evidence of lack of efficacy of some COVID treatments

Prof Abdool Karim has written an editorial for the NEJM this month highlighting the accumulation of more recent evidence showing lack of efficacy of certain Covid-19 treatments, namely ivermectin and fluvoxamine.
He reminds us that prescribing treatments with no proven benefits can still have harms (side-effects) as well as reduce availability of such medicines for the treatment of other conditions with proven benefit.
