It’s an exciting time to be in the field of HIV as the Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize, announced the launch of the new guidelines and the use of TLD (tenofovir+lamivudine+dolutegravir, in a fixed-dose formulation), as recommended by the WHO. With dolutegravir’s high barrier to resistance, this is a good move toward the 2020 goals.
