SA Road Trip Update

We had a successful trip to KZN in June, as part of the road trip to promote the National HIV & TB Health Care Worker Hotline. Travelling over 1 300 km through northern KZN from St Lucia to Jozini to Pongola and Vryheid and then back down to the coast via Melmoth and Eshowe, we met wonderful health care workers in a variety of clinics and hospitals.

Travelling through vast fields of sugar cane being harvested and hundreds of trucks carrying said sugar cane (they’re messy things, and heavy, causing HUGE potholes!) to the mills, we visited busy rural clinics with dedicated staff, dropping posters and spreading the word of the hotline to where (we hope!) it’ll be most valuable – rural clinics with little back-up

Next up, Mpumalanga, mid-July. You can follow our travels by liking our Facebook page.
