Perceptions of polypharmacy

Something we see daily at the MIC: polypharmacy. In a recent BMJ, Eriksen and colleagues performed a systematic review of qualitative studies of patient experiences relating to polypharmacy in order to find common themes.
As doctors, pharmacists and other health professionals, it is worth reminding ourselves that polypharmacy can be challenging to patients in many, different ways and that communication and shared-decision making are essential for these patients with multiple co-morbidities
